What are cyanotypes?
Cyanotypes are a type of photographic print that produces a distinctive blue image. They are made by placing objects or a photo negative on a surface coated with photosensitive solution (potassium ferricyanide and ferric ammonium citrate), and then exposing it to UV light. The areas that are exposed to the light turn blue, while the areas that are not exposed remain white.
